Hey, I’m ROBBY INCMIKOSKI. During my 16 years working in Major League Baseball as a TV reporter/host, I bought a digital camera and started taking photos of every stadium I visited—capturing the places, people, and quirks that make each ballpark special.

There is nothing that better connects a team to its city more than a major league ballpark, right?

Sacred Grounds is the book that came out of that. And this site? It’s where the stories live. From players and coaches, to my fellow reporters and fans, to the people that make each place shine—everyone’s got a memory worth sharing.

Sacred Grounds: What Our Ballparks Mean to Us is your exclusive behind-the-scenes pass to all 30 Major League ballparks—plus the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

Former Pirates TV field reporter Robby Incmikoski spent 16 seasons traveling the league, building relationships and capturing the access that most baseball fans do not experience.

Now? It’s time to share it all.

Robby took thousands of photos while traveling to all 30 ballparks across Major League Baseball (and yes, Oakland still counts!).

While working as a TV reporter for the Twins, Pirates and Rangers, Robby photographed most areas of every baseball stadium, from the beautiful fields where the biggest stars shine to the concourses, food stands, dugouts, bat racks, grand entrances and unique quirks that make each place special.

Then we conducted over 90 interviews with those associated with each ballpark. It could be a big moment, such as Barry Bonds’ record-setting 756th home run, to the everyday experience at each place.

You will hear first-hand accounts from various people around our nation’s pastime—not just players and coaches, but also fans, bar owners, clubhouse personnel, and MANY more.
